Entry nº 30: Eating Light Food and going on diet is just a question of merchandising.

In the last years a controversy about good and bad eating habits has aroused. Eating Light food and going on diet is for many people just a question of merchandising, while for others it is a way of life, a habit that helps them to be healthy and keep in shape.
Since the cult of the perfect body has been established as a parameter of beauty, the industry of Light food and diet products has increased its sales. At the same time, new complementary goods are continually being put on the market; they include pills and drinkable substances which help lose weight and improved equipment to work out. These facts make people believe that being forever young and good-looking is just a question of merchandising. Everything is created with the purpose of convicing people that they need these things to keep fit and healthy much easier and faster than using other methods. But the message conveyed by the adverticements is just a matter of publicity, because it has been found no reliable evidence to prove their efficiency what is more, the consumption of such merchandising can have side effects like sleeping disorders, mood swing and stomach aches.
On the other hand, those who support the going on diet and eating Light food claim that these habits can help obese people to lose weight and recover their health. Obesity can increase the risk of heart disease, diabetes, sleeping disorders among other problems. As giving up food is a quite difficult task, obese people depend on these alternative methods to change their eating habits. Another reason that supports this claim is that people eat a lot of junk food, which is a both extremely unhealthy and the main cause of child obesity. This people have to replace fast food and junk food with Light food and diet goods. Although I agree with the idea of changing the unhealthy eating habits that people have, I disagree with the use and consumption of the complementary merchandising created by the food industry.In fact, there is no magic pill or product to lose weight in just a few weeks; these solutions are temporary and once people stop taking them, they start gaining we
